Hooks

Foreign— Unfamiliar with Eorzean Keeper customs and/or their lore. Strangely enunciates some Eorzean words, learned from reading, not naturally through conversation. Wears clothes tailored in Far Eastern styles. Doesn't follow the Twelve, either smiles awkwardly or says nothing when their names are invoked.

Bad Leg— A gunshot wound to his left leg causes Yang stiffness and pain, especially in colder climates. Due to its proximity to the femoral artery the bullet couldn't be removed, so Yang can only treat symptoms. He avoids standing for long periods of time and/or putting too much weight on it.

Kintsugi Compagnie— Yang works for the Kintsugi Compagnie as its accountant—and its de facto leader, he thinks. Under his strategic hand, the free company grew from a minor, debt-saddled conning operation into a moderately-sized, profitable importer of eastern goods into Ul'dah and Ishgard.And he's always open to more profitable partnerships.

First Edition— After months of successful business—and thus a growing book collection no longer kept in check—Yang opened up his own bookshop, First Edition. Located above his free company hall, he rents the basement from a local entrepreneur. The bookstore specializes in rare and banned books, particularly from provinces currently and formerly occupied by Garlemald.

Scholar of Nym— Yang currently assists the Marauder's Guild with research on the Wanderer's Palace, and is one of the Scholars on staff. He can read Nymian script and various eastern languages, which makes him a valuable translator of various texts left by the Nymians, and of eastern arcanima used to crosscheck Nymian techniques.His current assignment is the translation of Ethica and Omnilex.

The Magician— Formerly the commander of a Nagxian cell responsible for untold grief to the Garlean empire. His seditious acts are many—led a mutiny of a work camp, a counter-strike that destroyed multiple weapon prototypes, and outmaneuvered commissioned Garlean officers despite overwhelming odds. For these achievements, the people of Nagxia nicknamed him 'Yang the Magician' and 'Miracle Yang'.This is not common knowledge. Because of that, I'd like OOC discussion first before exploring this aspect of his backstory, as I have no intention of getting him caught by Garlean authorities. If your character has connections to the various rebel cells in Nagxia and/or Dalmasca, I'd still like OOC discussion first when it comes to recognizing who he was, as he went through great pains to obfuscate his current whereabouts and is considered an asset by the Eorzean Alliance.
